Dealer Help Its Going In Tomorow

i was just wondering if i am going to get in trouble with the dealer if i take it in because i have test pipes and a spacer for the plenum, do these things **** the dealer off, my SES light is off and nothing is wrong minus my transmission making grinding noises(5AT), just wondering if there going to throw a fit and not want to cover some stuff.

A lot of people take their cars in with spacers and the dealers never notice, so I wouldn't worry about that part. I'd get rid of the test pipes though, since they are a LOT more noticeable and since they could make up some crap story about how you could have screwed something up while changing the exhaust.

Keep spacer, lose test pipes.

I dought that they would notice the space but if they put it on the lift they will see the pipes but that has nothing to do with the transmission

Take the TEST PIPES OFF!!!! Those test pipes replace the cats right? Youre driving an illegal car and they will black list it all over all of the infiniti dealerships.

Your second to last comment was the smartest thing that you have said tonight. Rescedule the appointment and put the factory cats back on.

I just got my tranny replaced under warranty with my mods on with no problems. My 6mt 3rd gear synchro went out at 22000 miles. The mods that were on the car at the time were a JWT popcharger,z-tube, 1/2 in plenum spacer, 7 wire ground kit, UR pulley set, invidia true dual exhaust, and carsound high flow cats as well as my coilovers. I really think it depends on the service department. Granted they have put notes in the system that my car has "several aftermarket parts installed" which is now on every reciept I get from them. never had a single problem with any warranty issues though and I have had a lot of those. darned 2003 TSB editions.

I take my car in with my test pipes all the time. Depends on what dealer, and if they're mod friendly or not. My dealer is mod friendly, they're Miller Infiniti in Van Nuys. Man, your dealership must not like you lol.. jk

It is a Federal Felony [Violation of Clean Air Act] [with an up to $10,000 fine] to tamper with emission system [remove or replace good cats].

I don't have test pipes. What Q45 said is accurate though. It's illegal and they won't warranty it if they are not mod friendly.

I try to make everything legal in my life. I said, "Try". LOL
