Who told you this? It sounds extremely questionable because injectors simply don't get "dirty" these days, especially on late model cars. The fuel additives, cleaners, and fuel filter simply won't allow it. Consider the source of the information (dealership?).

It was the dealership mechanic that told me that. The guy that i talked to seemed like he knew about the car a lot. When he told me that the fuel injectors are dirty I automatically thought about the car running lean that is the reason i believed him. The dealer is not touching my car though for maintenance such as the injector cleaning, drive belts and sparkplugs. We will see what happens though on friday when i take the car to streetimage.

IMHO, dirty fuel injectors should make your car run rich. A dirty injector usually make the atomization poor (ie.. make the fuel droplets big). This makes for a poor burn aka rich unburn gas though the exhaust. It's also odd that they just flat out say "dirty injectors" as only a OBDII scan or a diagnostic tool showing irratic injector pulswidths could confirm this. How exactly did he come to this "dirty injector" conclusion?
