Easy fix, HKS Rotrex Supercharger, get it fixed today and order one now!!! But on a serious note, I was planning on purchasing a CAI for my car and after reading this, I might to choose a different route and go FI.

Had the same issue with an ICEMAN CAI on my Civic years back. Happened whenever I made a drastic RPM change and the CAI was loose somewhere. The engine would all but stall with lights on the dash coming on etc.

I learned to check on the CAI often, as it was one of the few 'fixed' pieces connecting the engine to the chassis and experienced lots of flex, and paid a little more attention to my driving.

how's your oil and coolant levels.

I see so many threads on here about G's shutting down while driving.

I owned my g for almost 2 years not and It never did anything like that. And I put it through some serious tests.
I know that a diesel truck will shut down on you if oil or coolant levels are low. I would imagine that in car such advances as Infiniti G35 this safety feature would be installed as well.
I know this happened long time ago, but do you have any idea what was your oil and coolant level at the time when it shut off on you?

are you positive the reason for stalling is because the whole black piece was taken out for the people stalling, cause I know i took the whole black foam piece out..

i have a 06 6mt cpe. with the stillen cai. and it happened to me today and a few weeks back.. once on the highway when i had it in N when i was entering a exit wit a high speed.. all the lights flickered and car almost stalled then turned back on.. it scared the SH*T out of me.. haha. then it happened to me when i was sitting at a light being in N.. weird.. i work at infiniti as a salesman.. and i know for a fact the Techs told me to take put the old intake back on or else if there was a sensor or etc.. that went bad the dealership won't warrenty it because it's an after market intake.. SUCKS ***
