noise coming from engine

i'm not mechanically knowledgable, but a few days ago i've noticed a squeeky, whistle sound coming from the engine bay. didn't think anything about it at first, but now it is louder. i checked it out and it seems like it is the fan belt. i put WD40 on it and it quites down a lot. but when i turn the engine off and come back in a few hours, the sound returns. is this a serious problem and should i bring it to the dealership to look at??? thanks.

Sounds like it might be an oil consumption problem. Take it to the dealer...

Sounds like the belts and if under warranty have them replaced.

ya visually look at the belts and look and see if they appear worn or cracked. That is probally the cause of the squeak
