Go Forced Induction and get a Vortech SC.

Most reliable, and wont give you a headache with problems & maintenance.

Plus, it'll give you all the power you'll need to have fun

from what i read, turbo kits are rather reliable, but 90% of longetivity depends on who installs and tunes your car. With the exception of a stroker kit, bolt-ons are rather limited in what power they can provide.

If you don't want to build your engine, a supercharger is a good and viable alternative to a turbo. If you want power just to tool around in, the stillen is good; if you want to upgrade a few things, the Vortech is very good.

Do a search, this is all stuff i've gathered based on this website and my350z.com. That being said, i am 99% positive there is something i've left out, and i'll leave it to others w/ more experience to steer you in the right direction.

TT FTW!!

Boost comes on way faster than a ST or SC. If you do a safe tune you will not have any problems.

I'd love to go all motor. I love a ripping 6 as much as I love a rumbling V8. But the reality is that after building the motor, adding FI to the cost is relatively cheap but adds huge gains. It would be mighty hard for me to resist at that point, and I'm trying not to go FI in the first place.

If I had a lot of money to blow, no doubt I'd have a strong, NA build and rip on it for a long time with relatively little concern. A race-ready motor, sticking 375'ish HP to the ground would be a lot of fun for me on the streets.

Running my TT at low boost has resulting in little maintenance. I have an occasional pipe come loose, but thats because I haven't replaced the silicon connectors with longer ones, like APS should have used in the first place.

Other then that, its been low maintenance.

My Procharger was a pita because of changing the oil on it. I don't think you have to change the oil on the Vortech, so it might be a good route. However, be prepared to replace belts and deal with squealing belts on a SC.

^ Id feel like the security I get and the longevity provide by an all motor built will be far better for a car that Im going to keep for a long time.

Whats your definition of an 'all motor' build? To achieve FI numbers you'll need nitrous, and nitrous leads to blown motors/worn rings.

You're not going to make decent power out of this block and maintain longevity, it simply isn't possible.
