I just leased a new 2007 coupe....the manual explicitly states not to add any type of these products into the fuel systems or engine.....will this stuff void a warranty or lease? Are there any dangers to using this stuff? I've got 600 miles on the car, when should I use this?

It usually takes a while of using defective gasoline to build up deposits, however certain driving styles have been shown to be worse.

Like driving less than 15 miles per crank up, then hot soaking for 4 hours, then repeating over and over again.
This style can create deposits in 500 miles and serious deposits in 3000.

I would expect G35 owners to do a weekly blow out the soot weekend drive.
Hitting near redline a few times can stretch out the need to clean injectors.

AGAIN it all depends on the fuel you purchase..........which refinery on which day.

"The fuel requirement for this test is 500 gallons, and the duration is 40 days. The PFI test is a pass if the fouling of all injectors remains 5% or less for the entire test."

Nope. You normally can't buy this anywhere. Even at BG authorized service centers, they'll only put a can in your tank if you buy an "upper engine deposit removal" service.

I've always just purchased from eBay. You can't beat the prices there.

I've heard the same thing many times, it tends to disolve seals and plastic components. You can clean them yourself by putting it in second, redline, then let it rev down your speed, then floor it to redline again, let it rev down again. Carbon build up in performance engines when not driven hard, same thing with the northstar.

I've heard of people getting great results using seafoam in older cars, they put 1/3 in the gas, 1/3 in the oil, and 1/3 slurped in the vacuum line, allowing a lot of air along with the liquid. Then you run the enigine at 2K rpm for 5-10 minutes- there should be some foul grey smoke coming out the pipes but it's supposed to. Personally I wouldn't do it, that gunk is partially what hold you car together.
