In May I purchased a 2003 6sp sedan. I have recently decided to accept a position in the Netherlands for a period of 2 years.
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH IMPORTING A G35 INTO THE NETHERLANDS OR THE EUROPEAN UNION?
I have called Infiniti USA who confirmed that G35s are not imported into the Netherlands (in fact Infiniti is not in the Netherlands at all).
Nissan-Netherlands sells the 350z (for about $53k by the way) and said they would be able to service the car if I had any problems, but the warranty wouldn't be applicable while in Holland, but they didn't have any specific information.
I know upon importation I have to pass a safety check, and don't know whether this will require a lot of work to be performed to change the car to EU safety sepcs.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

 

I'll email my guys in the Rotterdam office and see if they have info I can pass on to you... probably be tues or wed before I can get back to you.

Also, your HR dept should be able to give you some specifics if they are paying your relo expenses...our company has had to relo boats, cars, and horses for execs....
