Just stay at the 5w30. It's what you've always used right?

I usually stick with the stock Nissan oil filter. Are you modded at all? Also how long have you had your car? I usually change my oil every 4000 miles.

Mobil 1 is a good oil. Castrol is not a synthetic oil in the traditonal sense of the term, but merely a highly refined petroleum oil, as many, "synthetic", oils today are.

A sythetic oil has vastly greater film strength than a petroleum oil has, so the lightest viscosity possible will provide the best lubrication, protection, horsepower, engine cooling, performance and fuel economy. A true PAO synthetic oil in a 0W-30 viscosity, (like AMSOIL Series 2000 0W-30, or Mobil 1 0W-30 if you want to spend more), is a fine choice.

The oil filter with the greatest filtration capacity that will filter down to the smallest dirt particles possible to prevent needless engine wear. Ea oil filters lead the industry, followed by Mobil 1 and possibly then Purolator. Don't spend $4.50 for an oil filter to, "protect", an egine worth thousands. Penny wise and pound foolish.

What are the High Temperature/High Shear, (HT/HS), test results with that oil?
