Car starts then dies

I have a 2004 Sedan and I just replaced my battery. Now when I start, the engine starts then dies immediately. If I give it a little gas it catches OK and runs. Any ideas?

Check your intake filter and sensor. Its choking on something.

Re-check the connections on the battery. If the ground is loose it will have a hard time at idle but run off the alternator when it is revved.

It seems to start fine if the engine is cold, ie the car hasn't been run for 4 hours or more but when the engine is hot such as after 15-20 minutes of driving and shutting off the engine and then turning it back on it doesn't seem to catch.

Checked and tightened all the battery cables and still happens. Would this problem be covered under the powertrain warranty. My sedan is at 61k just past the basic warranty.

I'm going to try and clean the IACV. Anyone have any pics of where this is located and how I should proceed to remove it? Thanks.

I've had this problem before and for me it turned out to be the fuel pump. Your car is acting the same way as one of mine did.

I know exactly what the problem is.. I had this issue in March... its your throttle body... try cleaning it and if that doesnt work you will have to replace it.. hope you are still under warranty.. its an 04 so if your mileage isnt too high, it should be... i took off my pop charger b4 i brought in my car, left the z tube on and then dealer asked me to bring that in just so they can make sure it wasnt something i did... all in all it was fixed under warranty

Where is the MAF sensor and Throttle body located? I took off the shield today but I don't know what they look like. I also didn't find the IACV.

MAF sensor is a lil flat like box btwn the air box and the tube.. throttle body is after the intake tube... the metal part connected to it... there should be pictures in the manual or try looking for one online. If you're stock, break it to the dealer.
