10-15hp for $300
Someone just remind me of this. There is already a hp helper for you guys..... no more waiting. I had two of these on my Z and they do work. Your engine layout is perfect and only need one. I know what I will have on my future G35c if no supercharger availible.

Re: 10-15hp for $300
how about adding a Electronic Blow off valve as well?
maybe even a plastic intercooler...
dont forget those stickers... each gain 10HP!

I knew I will get some reply like this.
So, fisrt. I don't have any part in selling these eRAMs.
2nd: I had two in my 300zx StgVI. For some reason, I took them out and use them on two different vehicles.
3rd: it's a electric blower which use 700watt or 50AMP of your DC power to gain you just 1psi of intake pressure, how precious. I know it's not a effective design but if there is no other way to gain power, at least it works.

Re: 10-15hp for $300
theoretically, it should work. It works on the same concept as a supercharger or a turbocharger by forcing more air into the throttle body.
As to what kind of hp increase you can see on the G, I would say next to nothing. By the way, the tornado costs much less and gives you more than 10 hp increase per the ad!

tornado is crap. you will have better chance getting hit by a tornado than seeing any gains on it. its acutally proven to reduce gains because it obstrucks the intake path. also there were cases that tornado was caught in the throttle body...major accident. "tornado" acutally came out in 1992, back then it was called a cyclone. money back guarentee? i remember my older brother getting one... well he got his money back.

700 watt 50AMP fan blow air into your throttle body !!
and you gain next to nothing?
don't you think that will help your engine breath BIG TIME?
tonado is piece ****, please don't compare with it.

Tim says: 700 watt 50AMP fan blow air into your throttle body !!

But where do you think you get that 700 watts? Yes, out of the alternator, which gets it out of the engine. The engine has to work harder to turn the alternator, which will feed electricity to your blower, which will feed air to your motor. But all of those steps lose power to friction etc., so you will wind up with LESS net power than you started with.
Sounds good but save your money.

Re: 10-15hp for $300
That won't work.
You can't raise atmopheric pressure with a fan. There's too much blow-by. You have to have a compressor. You know, that thing with the very expensive housing and the high tolerances and teflon coatings.
There is no way that that thing is producing any psi. Try putting your hand over the end of a blowdryer. No pressure right? That's because of the blow-by.

there is one thing call in-line spiral compressor

Turbo isn't the only compressor in this world. Just think about supercharger.
put your hand in front of a fan, do you feel force? If you do, there is pressure. Pressure equal to fource devided by area. Of course in case of your house fan, pressure will be minimum. RAM air provide some pressure too. Try to hold a book outside your car window against wind at 75mph. Assume your book size 50 square inches. You need 25 lb force to support it. That's about 0.5 psi.
eRAM generate 1psi is measured, not from some smart guy guess.

you don't turn eRAM on all the time.
700watt DC power is close to 1HP, that's come from battery not directly from your generator. There is a big differnce here. Even at race, you don't keep throttle WOT all the time. Remember how long you let your engine running before you have that 15 seconds drag run? eRAM is design for low duty cycle use, like 15 second for every minute. Your generator will recharge your battery over that entire minute.

Re: you don't turn eRAM on all the time.
After doing a little reading on this product I have found:
You can't use it at night because it cuts you headlights off.
If the fan motor self-destructs, and it could, the parts go into your $5,000 engine.
Cutting into your car's electrical system could void the warranty.
It only comes on at full-throttle, so when it's not running it is a restriction in the air tube (don't say it's not, just look at it).
But hey, the choice is yours.
