how loud

how loud is my transmission suppose to be when i shift. If i stand 10 feet away from the car and go through gears while stopped or even with the car off you can hear me shifting very distinctively.

You're fine but how do you stand 10 feet from your car and shift??? You must pretty tall or have long arms. I crack me up.
