Not with your 2004 setup...Car will run lean...MREV2 and spacer is good for the 05-07 models that have the REVUP motors.

You should try using the search button. Everyone that is new ask this question. Its been discussed so many times already. Just some advice. Search before you post. Others are not that kind...'

+1, search.

But the short answer is just get a spacer. I just spoke with Tony (the guy who owns Motordyne and makes the spacers and MREV2). He said an MREV2 will show no significant power gain on a non-revup engine (like what the OP has) if a spacer is already installed.

Hi Gfast,

Yes, you can do both but it won't give the gain in your engine like it does on the REVUP engine.

For your application I generally recommend just the spacer. This gives the best bang for the buck.

Adding a MREV2 to your engine will make another 2-6 HP through various parts of the midrange. So yes, it makes more, but for most people its not worth the added cost.

I hope this helps.

Tony

And it's "could" not "will" run lean.

Gfast, I also have an 04' with just the 5/16 spacer...the mod was noticeable right after install. Not so much the horse power gain, but the engine ran smoother, better throttle responce, cooler temps, and better gas milage. A great mod that you can feel and hear!

P.S> Install the TB shut off valve as well for cooler temps.
Good luck.

MotorDyne.......Tony's Toys!

If you compare mods and the cost MotorDynes spacer on an '04 is the best
bang for your buck! You could go all out and get the 1/2" spacer ISO for
max bang......but then you lose the OEM Engine cover. (won't fit)
