I cant wait to see the outcome. And the bill for it all. I wish i had skills like this. And what is your job that you have all this $$$ if i may ask. I know you said you were self employed.

Here's a look at what had to be done in order for he VG starter to clear the Transmission adapter plate and the VH block.

I used one of the spare blocks to do some initial test cutting and grinding.





Here's what I did to the actual block. I ended up taking a big chunk off since the excess material served absolutley no purpose. There were no dowel pins or harness points in the way. Now, my next concern is how only half of the tranny bolts up to the block. I want to make two brackets that come from the side of the block and bolt to the bottom of the transmission.

wow. that explains the long period between updates. That shiznit looks like the most difficult part of the project you have had to deal with.
