Any reason/model/trim that some cars have the cover and some don't?

 

None of the G35 series came with covers on drivers side. Not even the the ones in Japan (V35).
Thats why we get the JDM passenger side so we can cover up our drivers side.
Its weird why they didn't include that in production (03-07).
The FX series has cover for both sides, not sure about M series while the new G37 does I believe.
Reason?... but guess they finaly relized how retarded it looked and did it for the G37.

 

why hasn't anyone mentioned the fact that the OP's pic with driver-side cover doen't say battery on it?... I'd like one like that! Does the Frenzy chicks say Battery or is it plain like the one is the first post pic?...

 

I noticed it, too. But I could care less myself.

The one in the picture appears to be painted...notice the clearer reflection on it. Perhaps it is a carbon fiber battery cover - as they do sell those.

Actually, now that I think...there was an eBay seller that sold the battery covers without any lettering on them.

If the Frenzy chick you are referring to is "chicklet" (aka brit), then hers are merely the "JDM RHD" battery covers and also say "Battery."
