I'm confused. So you are using Motul based on that particular test? Or because it's better suited for your particular application? I don't see the two being one in the same.

What if the following?

1) Cooler oil doesn't address his high rpm metal on metal prevention concerns?
2) Or the oil isn't getting to the temp requiring a cooler?

But you have been insisting that every oil is the same and should be sufficient to protect our motor. So why do you need a cooler unless you live in a constant 100deg temp or FI'ed?

FYI, not oil are the same and there are off-the-shelf oil that can withstand track and there are also off-the-shelf oil that can break down after a few hundred miles of track driving.

Forget it. I now realize who I was asking.

I have been road racing for over 14 years....so I did not need that test to help me pick a brand of oil. the test only showed what happened to different brands of oil at curtain temps. Like I said before, Motul was the only brand that did not break down at high heat.

Nismo G does not need to use the same racing oil as me...he can use a brand a few steps down that can help with heat transfer and lubricating.

I have to use oil that can stand up to excessive temps because my car operates close to redline for many laps....remember....this car is not use for drag racing.

All I'm asking is HEAT the main enemy here? Or is it a film strength issue? Or has oil analysis shown that your oil is having heat related stress?

Heat and Viscosity are my main concern
