Re: 2004 AT Sedan ECU Reset

Yes, i too was skeptical about this reset. However, I knew i needed it because im at 7k miles, and the MM shifts were getting VERY lazy, as if the car learned to become more luxury....and lazy...instead of crisp sportyness. Well after like probably 15 attempts, I finally did it. At first, i didnt notice anything different. However, a after a couple mins, i realized the shifts were no longer lazy! But rather, like THE WAY IT CAME FROM THE FACTORY!!! WOOHOO!!!

Sooo??? Now it's gotta learn your preferred driving style all over again? Only reason I could see doing this would be after mods or the night before going to the track.

Re: 2004 AT Sedan ECU Reset

The problem with this 'learning system' is that I live in Houston and drive like a little grandma b!tch in traffic alot...but when I am on the open road or some turns..I want the G35 I bought...not some slippping ***, no shifting piece of crap luxury mobile.

I think if you can open it up everyday like a bat out of hell this will never happen...but if you putter along in traffic the ECU thinks you are a stooped 90 year old blind turd and adjusts accordingly.

I notice the shift points and times immediately with an AT and a reset of the ECU - I still cant do the peddle method but I sure can unhook my battery fast =)

If you drive a MT I doubt this does much or if you drive an AT hitting 6k rpm all the time...but for those of us who drive in hell traffic it makes a dif.

I will post if I ever get the peddle method to work lol...

I know my brother with 04 sedan tried better method to pull 2 fuses. He said it seems to work and doesn't require to participate in that silly "pedal method" you guys suggesting.

I LMAO when the first time I saw it
