VSS Plug/Wire/Tapping Point
Hey all,
Ok,i have a 2005 Series 2 V35 Skyline in Perth,Australia. From what i've read and seen,this and the G35 are basically the same car.
I've had a HKS Single Turbo kit put in,with the requisite FCon V-Pro unit and the main issue is this: Neither the workshop nor I can find the speed sensor unit to tap the ECU into! Which means i'm limited to 180kph.
Which sucks,when you get to that point in fifth (i also have a modified FD).
The problem is the information we have is only on the series 1's, which have the speed sensor/vss unit directly under the stereo in the center console. Mine however has nothing there. Ripped the entire center console to pieces to find out,too.
We've checked the glove compartment area and the gauge cluster,only to find that there are plugs that LOOK like the one we're looking for,but aren't the right one. We've found 2 of the 3 listed in the HKS instruction manual.
The third one's supposed to be under the stereo. Wonderful.
Anyone with experience of the Series 2's/2005 update cars can help? I would be eternally grateful as i can't track the car till this is done.
