Man i did a search, i even looked at the thread the grounding kits. I came up blank. I know there is somewhere that there are instruction on how to install these. But see with me i need the pictures.

I got www.z-xtreme.com's kit but his directions are not that clear for me. I need pics to go along with it.

If somebody can help me out that would be awesome thanks

Take look at this pic. "Gordgee" posted a picture of the install along with each of the wires numbered. Wires 3 and 4 are swapped in this pic vs Z-Xtremes instructions. I just did Z-xtremes 7 wire install yesterday, PM if you have any questions, I can walk you through it. One note, Z's 6th wire goes back by the plenum on the same bolt as the 5th wire rather than up front with the other 3 wires.

Ohh man that helps out so i did it right then. Another question our #3 and 4 is flipped or no. If i flip them the wires will be too short.

Z-Xtreme's wires may be numbered a bit differently than GroundingGear™. As long as the wires can be run to the appropriate spots, just follow his instructions, and use my posted pic.

BTW, you guys know that GroundingGear™ is about the same price on this forum (only) as Z-Xtreme's right? Only for G35/350zs though as the authorized dealers don't want me to do direct sales of GroundingGear™ Universal Series kits, nor Custom Series for other vehicles.

Actually, I was referencing an older pic. 3 and 4 are the same in Grounding Gear's pic above and Z-Xtreme's instructions.

I feel you rashman.... that;s the same reason my grounding kit has been sitting in my room for 2 months now..

thanks for the pic. but where does the other end of wire #2 go?

also, if I only got the 5 wire kit (for 6MT), do I just install #1-5?

 

Wire 2 goes to a grounding bolt on the passeger wheel well. If you remove the hood sensor (2 10 MM bolts) you will see it about 2 inches below.

Wire 7 is the only wire not needed on the 6 MT. You should install all 5 wires.

i didnt even need to remove the hood senor to get to that spot. I think i should make a revised version of the picture.

Can someone post a link of where to buy the kit? The easier the better! Looks like most go with GroundingGear? Would be greatly appreciated!
