06 6mt engine replacement

has anyone replaced their engine because of the oil consumption issues?

and if you have, do you notice anything different?

i feel as if the engine is slower between 1-3k and the air seems muffled going in and out of the car..

anyone else?

i started this thread in the sothern cali section with no really helpful responses..

https://g35driver.com/forums/southern-california/182791-replacing-engine.html

also, does any one know exactly wat changed with this new engine?

Funny, I have been waiting over 2 1/2 months to get my new motor in my 05. Infiniti says they are releasing a new TSB that is supposivley a reengineered motor...BS. They are still waiting........they keep telling me the end of the month, but I have ended 2 months now and nothing.......It is a common problem on the Rev Up motors...but hardly anyone says anything.

It's not as common as you think...You don't hear about the 1000's with engines that don't consume oil. I definitely feel for you guys though!

It is ...the problem is the dipstick is hard to get a good reading......well let me restate....people that regularly rev in the 5000+ range tend to blow oil.
