350 REAR wheel hp is about all you should run safely WITHOUT engine mods. Some will say 400 and, sure it will do that, but it won't last long. Especially if you gun it much.

If you want more than 400, you are looking at at least $15 and more like 25K to do it right.

 

I would not consider doing FI on my car for less than 15K

 

Your budget is a little short, so not a smart idea.
