2003 G35 Recall for Cam Sensor... But it occured already..

Hello. There is currently a recall out for the 2003 Infiniti G35 where the cam sensors go out and can cause a car to stall in the middle of driving. This unfortunately happened to me a couple months back where my car stalled in the middle of the freeway. I had to get it towed to a car shop, pay $240 for them to figure out the problem, and paid expensive money for part + labor. Recently, I just found out about this recall.... but it already happened. Is there a way I can fight to get my money back since I had to pay out of my own pocket? Please advise me on what I can do, thank you.

Only Infiniti dealers are allowed to do Infiniti warranty/recall work, your choice of using an independent shop pretty much negates any recovery or even a credit.

However you might still get Infiniti to do the whole process over under the recall, never hurts for them to check the work of independent and maybe they will find other problems that might occur in future.

Contact Infiniti corporate you never know they might have a special plan?
