2J Swapped 350Z.....

I see what you're saying now....well, although it will be heavier than STOCK, it's lighter than a VQ with TT's which don't seem to have an issue so I think they'll be alright

Well the thing is you don't have to "build" the 2jz at all. Unless you are going over some insane hp number. ie... 700hp or so.

How much power below 6k rpm would a 700-800hp VQ35 have? Maybe a bit more because of the .5 liter more in cubic inches but probably not much more.

I understand, but what I'm saying is the supra guys think the VQ can't make good power and the shop that's doing the swap is playing it up saying that the only real way to make power in a 350z is to put a 2jz in it, which isn't the case anymore.

yeah the VQ is gonna get there...the supra has had 15 years to build 1000+hp engines.... we'll get there...wait and see
