UR Pulley worth it??
Re: UR Pulley worth it??
I've never seen any problem with larger stereo systems yet, but it's nothing a capacitor can't fix

Re: UR Pulley worth it??
I had my UR pulley installed yesterday at the dealer. It took them a little time but I know it was done right. They also flushed my radiator when they took it out. In the last week I've installed the INJEN SES and the pulley. It's supposed to take the car a little time to "figure" out the difference in weight between the stock pulley and the UR. We'll see. I did this same upgrade on my 330 and the difference was immediate. I don't know why the G35's ECU is slower than the 330's. ......

Do a pedal ECU reset or a battery disconnect bro. That should speed things up for you.

The sound of the SES may be the nature of the beast, but may change some more once it gets worn/broken in.
I doubt the ECU reset will have any effect tho.

Re: UR Pulley worth it??
I had pulley on my old 240sx and I swear by it. However I didn't get a set just the crank pulley itself and my stereo wasn't as loud and high beams were not as bright as before. I would suspect on auto G's pulley will be a perfect cure for sluggish feeling at low RPMs.

Re: UR Pulley worth it??
I've checked the clearances and found that with a medium length 19mm socket, there should be sufficient room to take off the old, and install the new crank pulley.
From what I read on their (Unorthodox's) website, the crank pulley slows the accessories down about 20%. That should not have any major impact on lighting or charging unless you have aftermarket high power lighting and/or a high power draw sound system.

Re: UR Pulley worth it??
i asked that question about have a stereo and a pulley together, and the response I got was that the max power recommended going to your stereo is 600. this is with the whole pulley set though. dont know about the crank pulley only.
also, ASP is making a crank pulley for our VQ35's as of right now. I sent them the stock pulley and they should be done with it within a couple more weeks. dont know if it will have a harmonic dampner on it. They are pretty well known for their quality products.

Re: UR Pulley worth it??
The Set doesn't do much more because the size of the additional pulleys are the same, and they are about .5 lbs less then stock. The Main Crank Pulley is where you get your Power Gain from. ASP pulleys are a replica to the UR pulleys, but they are heavier. And they also won't have the dampener on it.

Re: UR Pulley worth it??
I used an ASP pulley on my SS camaro and got 6rwhp. I later switched to an ATI pulley(not the same company that makes SC's). I love the build quality of ATI Super Dampners. Too bad they don't make one for our G's. Maybe they one day will. Hell, I may even write to them.

Re: UR Pulley worth it??
OK so I ordered the crank pulley from Performance Nissan. Do I also need a new belt now. I was thinking that you only need a new belt if you did underdrives as well. ?

Re: UR Pulley worth it??
From everything I've read, the crank pulley IS the underdrive pulley. It's the only one that is actually smaller in diameter than its OEM counterpart. So, my guess would be that you do need a new belt.
