Yes you do need new belts. I've just bought mine and have the numbers here:
Good Year Gatorbacks came highly recommended.
1/ #4060445 (44.5") - Crank, Alt., Water pump belt
2/ #4040350 (35.0") - A/C belt

Re: UR Pulley worth it??
Don't use the Gates recommended sizes, the 6 Rib is too big, and will cause squeaking, I actually sell the correct size Nissan belts w/ the pulley sets we sell.

Re: UR Pulley worth it??
I had the set installed in my '03 Sedan and have continually experienced a squeaking noise after 3 replacement belts and my second set of pulley's. No change, and will probably replace with stock set unless someone can offer a solution?
FYI: Have tried numerous attempts at tightening and grease.

Re: UR Pulley worth it??
gsm or anyone else with an auto: you have an auto right? did you get the crank pulley put on? does it help? worth it for the auto? thinkin about getting one but after readin the threads on here and my350z it seems like everyone has a 6mt. so far it seems that the benefit out weight the risk factor and the price isnt that bad either. thanks

Re: UR Pulley worth it??
"The Set doesn't do much more because the size of the additional pulleys are the same, and they are about .5 lbs less then stock. The Main Crank Pulley is where you get your Power Gain from. ASP pulleys are a replica to the UR pulleys, but they are heavier. And they also won't have the dampener on it."
Im just wondering where you got this info about the ASP's from? They should not be a replica of the UR pulleys. I personally sent them the stock pulley set, which they are working on. Despite the lag, that is what they are using as a blueprint and not the UR pulley set. As for weight, they are not created yet so there is no idea of what they will weigh. Dampener, they probably will not have as well as it is not necessary. I dont know where you got your info from, but if you would post that and verify your info that would be much appreciated. I have been waiting for details for awhile now.

Re: UR Pulley worth it??
a couple of install questions: what's the best way? did anyone use the method where they let the wrench hang from the bolt, then crank the engine (ever so slightly) to get the bolt to turn? that by the way, is the most dangerous, ha ha! or did you guys use a chain wrench to hold down the pulley, and then loosen the bolt (this can damage the pulley)? thanks!
