oil pan install (pics)

wanted the aps but its on back order till 12/12/12 so i opted to go with the power enterprise knock off pan. the install was simple and straight foreward all the parts and hardware are of decent quality. i put blue loctite on the bolts and torqued them to spec. in sequence. shortly after the install i notice a small oil leak. one was from the drain bolt, and the other was a pin hole leak in the casting. im going to put a different style washer on the drain bolt at the next oil change and a little bit of jb weld sealed up the leak. other than that im completely happy with this mod and the engine does seem to appreciate the extra 1.25 quarts of oil it can now hold.

old pan before removal:

pan after being removed. yes, the pick up tube looks like a you know what...

pan prior to install:

fully installed:

if you go this route it's a very cheap and usefull mod. if you have the extra cash i reccomend spending the extra money on a reputable brand.

''pin hole leak'' not even a dab of jb fixed it. not going to take it all apart again, and wait for them to ship me another one when a smear of jb weld will be a permanent fix.
