Today I noticed that when I turn my ignition to the run position (but not start the car, just light up everything on the dash), everything lights up normally but then the "Service Engine Soon" light starts to flash, about 3 times and then stops.

I never noticed this blinking light, I always thought it was on or off.

When I start the car, it goes off and everything is normal. The light only blinks BEFORE I start the car.

Has anyone else experienced this behavior? Or know why this would all the sudden start happening?
