intercooler...switch out?

i have an 05coupe with an ati procharger kit..the frontmount i have is the one that comes with the kit. its kind of small, was wanting something alittle more drastic....my question is..can i switch out the one i have now, with a larger one?? thanks

i would figure out why its not centered before spending any money on a bigger one!

Bigger intercooler than needed doesnt help performance in any way. If you go wider, then i would get one thats thinner/shorter as well to keep the overall volume and pressure drop the same as stock.

Sure, you can change it out as long as you are prepared to pay to get some new piping fabricated to fit the new one in.

i was wondering the same but ive noticed something. when people put the procharger made for the Z on the G the intercooler is centered ive seen many like that where its a little off to the side and they are made for Gs

i found this one...seems like it would fit...even on the bottom where it says applications it states g35

the piping...im not sure if things will need drastic changes or not..im going to pull my front bumper off 2day and have a gander!!

i think they off-center them because of the space issue..i think they did mine that way b/c of the aluminum brace on the front of the car...i could be wrong but from what i can tell my fmic now is sitting on it on both sides..so the new one might require me to moddify the brace somewhat...any imput on this?

you don't need a new IC...it's not going to do you any good...in fact, it will reduce your psi before it gets to the throttle body...waste of money

well plans are for a plenium/exhaust/and headers ive been told ill need a 9-12lbs pully instead so with the new mods the car will have to be retuned...wont retuning make up for the lost psi?
