After hurricain katrina hit here in new orleans there was only regular fuel for about 3 months and I had no choice but to use it. Didnt notice much change, but car was a bit sluggish. I would suppose it could use regular, but it just puts me at ease when i use premium

Only time I put in regular fuel is when I have a G as a loaner lol. Otherwise, it's 93 octane wherever I go.

Exactly. Another "what fuel to use" thread and my head will explode. Thread started will be forced to clean the mess.

I get better gas mileage from using premium over regular. Why use regular when premium gets you better gas mileage and it's 30 cents more which works out to less than 5 dollars... When I purchased the FX it had a tank full of regular and I was getting 12mpg now that I've switched to premium I'm at 14.4mpg and it's rising.

I recently rented a really fast 07 sedan G from Enterprise, and its whole 15k miles was all done on 87 regular lol... so its fast, but will "ignition" issues crop up at 100k? Hmmmm

if you want to be cheap on gas, dont buy a G. if you want to use regular by a civic or corolla.

..or the new and hot direct injection GM V6 as used on the 2008 CTS. This engine cranks out performance on 87 octane. The VQ is wonderful, but starting to show it's age when efficiency and cost gets factored in.

I am not sure if it's the case, I think premium is still recomended for "full power" (i think that what I read in motor trend)
