belt squeel!

belt squeel!

sup all, i have an annoying squeeling from my belts? after starting her in the mornings.....doesnt seem to squeel any other time after i've drivin her for a bit....only in the mornings..... it's anooying as ****...!! sounds like i'm starting up a old azz bucket...... what can be the prob......? i did have a SS pully kit installed over 6 months ago......could this be the prob? do i need to take her in to tighten/loosen belts? get new belts? please help.

If you installed a pulley set you should of gotten new belts then. If not get new belts installed and make sure they are tightened right. Check deflection after installation. Factory service manual should have deflection specs.

More than likely you can just tighten the belts you have.

I had a Maxima where I changed the belt myself for the alternator and AC I think and I had to adjust deflection because it made noise every morning when cold. Loosen the pulley and adjust the tensioner.

had THE SAME exact problem.

my mech replaced my belt and it squealed like shiet. he even tried tightening it and stuff.

but the real trick is to tighten it while your car is cold. I guess its cuz when its hot, everything expands.

but yea, he had to come to my house, and then tighten it a bit and then turned it on and it was gone. this was back last year in december-ish. It's been good ever since.

thanks for the feedback guys...!!.....i've already made an appointment with Techno Square to have em tighten up my belts ....... then do a F-spec reflash and dyno tune.......
