I have a g35 sedan 03 model. I have been smelling burnt oil for the past 600 miles or so and I have been adding oil as it has burned off. I keep checking the level and it keeps going down I am trying to keep it at the middle of the dipstick. Anyways I have over 100k miles on the car and only recently started to smell the burnt oil smell. Any guesses on what the problem can be and how much it would cost to fix it?

 

oh man... please do post when you hear what the dealer has to say... this could range from 0 to new engine.

 

Oh boy your out of warranty... damn. you might just have to add oil from now on depending on how much it consumes. new engine sounds in order. You need to go to the oil consumption tsb and find out how much oil your burning. you can do this yourself first then go to the dealer and maybe cut a deal??(dunno)
