Opinons - will I run lean with a plenum spacer and a FI exhaust?

Hi guys - was looking to get your opinons. I am wondering if you think I will run lean with just a plenum spacer and a FI exhaust. I am plannning on ordering an OSIRIS but was wondering if anyone did an A/F dyno with this setup. Thanks guys,

You'll be fine with a spacer and exhaust. I know tons of people with spacer, exhaust, intake, test pipes, headers, and they run just fine.

If you're not FI it won't be too big a deal. You won't be lean enough at redline to hurt anything. That's how you gain some power with NA mods. A little leaner - plus freeing up some flow. The computer will adjust some to compensate if it runs too lean.

The only thing you may want to keep a look out for is pinging/knocking. You could do a dyno run with a wideband if you felt like it, I would think you'd still be in the 12's A/F ratio for now... which is fine.

Thanks guys - in terms of pinging/knocking - what does it sound like in this car? I had an old corolla that would knock pretty bad but I thought since most newer cars have knock sensors that you wouldn't notice it?

Knock will be more muted than on your 'rolla.

Knock sensors will retard your timing, so it shouldn't knock at all.

your ECU will actually over compensate and you will run rich, to get any "real" gains out of it, you'll need a tune.

With a popcharger, 1/2 spacer and truedual exhaust i was running with AFR's in the low 12's for most of the time. I didnt go lean until after I put headers and HFC's on.
