Any Modded G35x's?

I've been trolling around the forums trying to see what is possible with the x. I've noticed not too many people have modded AWDs. Is it because it's still new or is nobody interested? Why aren't the x owners asking about it?
I tried searching in this forum and came up with nothing. can anyone lead me in the right direction? Thanks

Re: Any Modded G35x's?

Haven't done much yet besides an ASG grounding system, z-tube and K&N. Looking into an S/C in the near future. Getting an Eibach springs with some new shoes installed on Wednesday (can't wait). Also working on a custom exhaust, don't have too much time right now to devote to it. Also working on a few other things. Hopefully I can get some work done and post info.

Diamond Graphite/Graphite/Prem. pkg./Navi.
ASG 7-wire grounding system
Tint
Z-tube
K&N drop-in
Coming:
Volk GT-C
Eibach Springs

An exhaust system is my next move. Waiting to see what comes out. Stillen is working on one. Some of the things that will work on the RWD sedan don't necessarily fly with the AWD, e.g., there was a discussion about tire size not too long ago here or on freshalloy.com. It's a new model so I guess it's just a matter of time and market interest.

anyone with the X's take their cars to the track? And if so, any videos? I wanna see the AWD in action. Would be cool to see since it acts similar to the Skyline GT-R's AWD system.

It's not. It's for foul weather conditions and bad roads, otherwise they would have incorporated it into the coupe.

It's nothing because they did not bless it onto the coupe?
Welcome to the Infiniti/Nissan marketing department, common, these are the people wrestling with bringing in Nismo parts for Infiniti's.

Besides chassis tuning and the wording in the ads, how is the G35x 4wd system any different than the last gen of GTR?
Frankly neither system use's front and rear limited slip diffs, not even the GTR from what I've been able to read.

Argue all you want, it is not meant for performance reasons as the STi and the EVO and previous gen skyline. Anyone will agree.

It's not ment for the track because the rest of the car is not tuned for it and it's not marketed that way, the AWD system is the same system used on the GTR, same system, same open diff's front and rear. Hit the other go fast elements and it would do just fine on the track. Coupe doesn't get the system because it would jive with Infiniti's marketing plans and future product plans. Plus their are always things held in reserve to spice up sales latter in the model cycle.

So, the mechanical element's that make up the G35x's awd system are the same that the GTR used. So, other then tuning the suspension, where could anyone make a valid comment that the car can't be tracked effectively? Want more than it would have been installed on the coupe, want more than it's not "like" the STI or EVO. Why can't it be tracked?
