anyone who says "use the search" on this site can't be serious...this site has a lot of great information but it's a giant clusterfvck of sections.

this thread has new information on v8 swaps...so why don't YOU shut the fvck up and stop wasting everyone elses time with your pathetic posts

oh and hi, 1st post!
i don't see why not. however you'd have to bridge the two in a few manners ie. to get the speedometer to work correctly (vq transmission would not be used) so i'd imagine there would be some basic electrical issues

you would have to wire the check engine light into the gauge cluster in case the engine is throwing codes (or you could set up a seperate LED somewhere...maybe under the hood so the car looks completely stock from the inside.

you'd have to get the cluster modified so all the lights aren't going off (or programmed)

there would be a whole bunch of things that would come into play

Well not to bring up the Z thing again but you should look at the LS swap in the Z forum. Hinson is finalizing the wiring now. So again, because this swap is essentially identical to the Z, that's where you should be drawing inspiration from. No reason to reinvent the wheel if one already exists right?

Agreed 100%.

It was originally just something that I thought would be really cool to do...didn't know people were already working on it!

I can't wait for the kit to come out. If my motor starts burning oil...I'll definitely be going LS1 route if the swap is under 7-8k
