Input on B & B exhaust system

Hey guys, I have a friend who is willing to sell his B & B (Billy Boat) exhaust system to me for $450.00. He has about 7 thousand miles on the exhaust system and it is in excellent condition. I tried doing a search but i only came up with minimal results. So if anyone on this forum has the B and B exhaust system or has any interesting/important information regarding the exhaust sound, quality and performance levels, please post it. Thanks

Re: Input on B & B exhaust system

It's amazing to me how little information there is available about this product on this site (or any other site i've been to for that matter). Which is one of the things that is making me nervous about buying the system. Billy Boat SEEMS to have a good reputation, but who knows for sure.

Since there is hardly any information about Billy Boat exhaust systems that I was able to find on this site, i am going to post all the info i can about B &B in this thread so next time someone on this site does a search for them, they will be able to find out some information about the company (hope nobody minds)

I found this performance information on I-M-Racing.com. I just dont know if i believe the horsepower that they are claiming. I am the type of person who likes to see the DYNO and doesn't believe what the company who is trying to see me the exhaust system says. Thats why i am looking for anyone on this site who has had some experience with this company or even has a friend who had some experience with them.

Info:
The New G35 exhaust system is built for sound, performance, and looks. Installation is simplified with a bolt-on system made entirely out of T-304 stainless steel. Twin 4" elliptical tips give your G35 a distinguishing look setting it apart from all the others. Using the B&B in-house chassis dyno, the B&B power and torque across the power band with peaks of 8.2 horsepower and 8.5-lb/ft of torque.

Regular price: $949.99Sale price: $889.95

Re: Input on B & B exhaust system

I had this exhaust on my 300zx twin turbo years ago. It sounded awesome and I would buy one again if I were to repalce the factory one.

Re: Input on B & B exhaust system

Found this bit on 6mt.net

B&B Fabrication Performance Exhaust systems incorporate 3-generations of fabrication skill and racing talent inherited from the Boat Family. B&B starts with T-304 stainless steel known throughout the industry as the highest quality material practical for automotive exhaust applications.
All exhaust tubing is mandrel bent on sophisticated CNC machinery for precise fit and uninterrupted exhaust flow. What's more, the use of T-304 stainless steel flanges offers precision fit and complete resistance to harsh elements. All hangers, resonators and tips are T-304 stainless steel as well.

Here are the links i found when i did a search for B & B exhaust on this site:

Re: Input on B & B exhaust system

Do a search for "B&B exhaust" and you will get lots of info. This is a loud exhaust and borderline ricey. If thats the sound your going for then its not a bad price used. Quality was first rate but not the sound I was looking for at all, so I sold mine and got the Borla instead.

DG/G 6MT coupe, Borla exhaust, Stillen intake, Z aluminum pedals, clear corners
