Re: Hyper Ground Resource Thread

Ok, since that other thread was removed, I'll post my picture here. As I promised gordgee I would do (if you missed my challenge in a previous thread well that's too bad), here is the GroundingGear on my supercharged G35 sedan:

Re: Hyper Ground Resource Thread

Hi there gsedanman,

I'm sorry to bug you but the resource thread is gone. I bought the 5 wire grounding kit from stillen a while back and put it on. I noticed no diff. I have been reading your posts about the development of an improved system. I am interested in your system. Can I just add the additional wires to the stillen system? Or do I need all new wires? Did you do a before and after dyno? What dose your butt dyno tell you? What type of improvements if any will I notice with your system vs. the Stillen system? Sorry for all of the questions. I usually try to do a search and answer my own questions but I can't seem to find the answers.

Thanks in advance,

Eric

SDGee:

You want gordgee, not gsedanman. Try sending him a PM with your question.

Re: Hyper Ground Resource Thread

from what i remembered, i don't think you're going to get any measurements information on that thread--only dyno results and install instructions, my friend. the exact measurements and locations for install was all protected by copyright, i believe.

Re: Hyper Ground Resource Thread

You can buy 4 gague wire at any electrical supply shop.
I bought enough to make 4 additional cables to add to my
Grounding Gear 10 wire set. I don't remember the lengths
of the wires. But you can measure them yourself, Look at the
posted pic of Gordgee's basic 7 wire set and measure the
length of string it takes to reach.

Re: Hyper Ground Resource Thread

I do not know if this is the information in this has changed or not. It was originaly taken from a post by "gsedanman" on 5/21/03 in the original thread (So it's fairly old).

Re: Hyper Ground Resource Thread

The picture that I attempted to attach was too big. Here are the details from gsedanman's original scanned image:

#1 - 16" - Left side of intake manafold to front of the engine.
#2 - 19" - Left side of intake manafold to left side chassis ground.
#3 - 29" - Rear left of intake manafold to front of engine.
#4 - 30" - Left side of intake manafold to the negative connection of the battery.
#5 - 32" - Rear right of the intake manafold to the front of the engine.
#6 - 30" - Rear right of the intake manafold to the front of the engine.

He did not yet have a measurement for wire #7.

Just relaying some history from a post that I had saved from months ago. Use the info for what it's worth, no warranty implied.
