Help! i bought new spark plugs NGK-r

ok so this is whats going on...i bought new spark plugs NGK-r
i checked the old spark plugs and they were good still. but i bought the spark plugs already so i decided to change them out anyway...so after following the DIY on this site... i started up the car...and the check engine light came on and started to blink...the idle was not smooth and the sounds coming from the exhaust were inconsistant so i was like ok im gonna see what happens when i drive it around the block...so i took it out the drive way and slowly accelerated still the exhaust sound was not consistant and the car seems like it lost all of the HP so i tried to gun it...and still it was very weak i mean so weak a damn pinto could beat me down... so i pulled over and it seems like the car was gonna die out... but it didnt stall... i took the car back home and started to trouble shoot...i decided to drop the old sparks back in and fawk nothing still the same crap...any suggestions?

Sounds like misfiring. Did you get the coilpacks mis-plugged?

I accidentally swapped the plugs before and it was a rough idle. Corrected the plugs to the coilpacks and all was good.
