Using filter plate for oil cooler, where else does oil temp sensor go?

Just wanted to ask, if I'm using a oil filter plate to hook up an oil cooler, where else can the oil temp sensor go? I'm guessing drilling into the pan, or an oil spacer. Are there oil pan spacers that have something pre drilled for a temp sensor? Also...where do you hook up an oil pressure sensor to send readings to a gauge?
