Does anyone know if the '04 G35X can be programed to lock the doors with the engine starts or when the car's in drive?

Better question: Where would a relay be placed to do this? Between the starter and window power down?

get the window control mod that allows you to roll your windows up with the oem remote and you can have the auto door lock.

Does any technical type know where to place a relay in the starter circuit - window power down circuit to make the doors lock when the ignition is started?

i think the only way your goin to get it is to get that or make one yourself.

It would be feasable to use a relay on the starter wire to lock the doors everytime you start the car.

Standard Bosch relay:
Pin 85: Starter wire
Pin 86: Ground
Pin 30: Ground
Pin 87: Door Unlock (Usually Yellow wire inside drivers door)

You might also be able to use the actual door lock motor wires coming from the BCM but that would be a lot more difficult. I believe there are 4 wires total (2 wires for drivers door motor and 2 wires for all other door motors). This is a 5 wire, reverse polarity system. Due to the complexity of this I won't go into more details unless you want me to.

Oh yeah, I guess I should tell you to buy a window mod too.
