My car is slow 6.7 0-60 and 15.00 1/4mi

Im getting pissed here
I got an 03 Sports Auto Sedan
here is my mods list: fan delete (03 had a clutch fan, so i replaced with dual elecric), throttle spacer, throttle coolant bypass, 5/16 motordyne spacer, obx exhaust (knock off) I have 235/45/ tires on the rear
my time is slow 6.7 0-60 and 15sec in 1/4 mi running at 75 degrees 40 % humidity and 1450ft elevation.

the messed up thing is that my 1993 Lexus SC400 with similar mods was running around 6.5 0-60 and 15sec in 1/4mi at same temperatures and elevation and that car was 400 lb havier, 10 years older and less hp than the G..

so what the heck?

hook up you fan, take off the TBS, open the coolant flow to TB, and take off the plenum spacer... if your ET is slower, you know your mods are working...

I don’t know what an OBX knock-off exhaust is... but maybe you should start there and skip the first paragraph... however, the summary will be different.

You got one of those slow G's that come from the factory like that.. There are some faster ones and slow ones... I got a really slow one... W/ a bunch of NA performance mods my best was a 14.8

Believe it or not...its probably your replica exhaust. People will probably debate that, but replicas just are not the same. The first thing i would do though is take off the throttle body spacer. Be sure the collant bypass valve is closed. Also, why did you take off your fan?

I don't understand why you removed your fan. They're electric fans...pointless to remove.

When I just got the car I had replaced the muffler with some cheap ebay muffler, after I did more mods and no positive results I figured it could be the Exhaust thats holding it down, so I put factory Muffler back on, results were the same no gain at all. The ObX exhaust is the second aftermarket exhaust and I could tell its made very well and its straight through design I don't think it could slow the car down at all.

Also throttle body spacer Is the one that DAve O was advertising that there was gains on it, I don't see how it could slow the car down.

Fan Delete mod is for the Clutch fan, I replaced it with dual electrical units just like all newer Gs have.

Spacer is my prime suspect right now, either there is a slight vacuum leak somewhere or spacers just slow the car down in general. I thought my skunk2 that i had on before slowed the car down a tenth or so, maybe motordyne has a similar effect.

My 30ft is 2.4 sec
so its kinda slow

All the testing is done with G-Tech SS (I know its accurate, I took it to the track with me just to confirm and I have an older G-Tech which I use from time to time just to confirm proper operation of the SS model)

Last week the best I could get was 14.89 with 94.5mph trap and 6.34 0-60
this was done with Brake torquing

Replica or not obx wouldn't be a brand that I would choose for a exhaust. Obx is known to have cracks on its welds and there material isn't top notch either.

Maybe it was just the early 03's then. I am not sure as to when they changed it.
