PM OCG35 and he will help u out with those questions. He has 3.7 on his and it made a huge difference.

590 for install...damn, That's more than the part. I guess I'll wait until I'm in school and do it then. Free install But yeah, 4.10 is the best you can do. It's next for me

some one giv eme some imagery here or explain to me how gears help the car out??? increase hp/tq? keep hp/tq in gears longer or sooner??

gears are shorter therefor u stay at higher RPM at in any given gear. Lets say when u shift to 3rd gear from 2nd u would be in 4000 rpm with stock 3.3 gears, now if u have more agressive final drive u would land at 5000rpm which u make more power in 5000rpm than in 4000rpm there for the car accelerates faster.

Lets say u make 165 hp at 4000 rpm and at 5000rpm u make 205. The car is going to accelerate faster from 205 hp then from 165hp.

Gears don't gain you hp or tq, what they do is give you a mechanical advantage.

so would this help me in drag or lets say 40 mph or 60mph roll races.... seems like people love to roll race in tampa

You are so wrong- Especially when its on a race track.. The 1/4 mile strip-- still a great mod.

Unless your F/I

But a G/Z with 4.1 and nice tires will spank you F/I set up on a track (not a strip)

ok not to be a total d*ck but I think I have been thread jacked. . . all I wanted to know was what were the best mods to do for N/A and it turned into a gearing discussion, so unless you guys think that changing the final drive is the only mod to do to a Z/G ( which cant be true ) I would like to hear more performance oriented mods and more importantly where can I get my ecu reflashed when Im done if that helps.

ok so even though the captions on the gears says for manuals only.. i can still use them on my auto?? cuz i remember askn bout diffs and if its true that i can only put certain models in my car.. cuz as of right now im planning on nismo diff and 3.7 gears.. is that ok for 5AT? and if it is.. is 4.1 better? what would be different between them?
