Problem starting up
So, when I start my car up and it is cold everything is fine it starts right up. Sometimes when it is already warmed up, however, I'll start it, the tach rises and it starts but then it falls too low and the engine dies. If i give it a tad bit of gas it keeps it from happening. Any advice? I got breather mods on my car aka, spacer, exhaust, headers hfcs etc.
i had the same problem when i put on my spacer. took it off took the car to the dealer and was told that my idle was messed up. they asked a few questions about intake and stuff and off course i didn't tell them i was trying to install my spacer. but it only took about 5 min for them to adjust my idle and everythign worked fine after that.

About every 20K or so miles my car gets to where it feels it needs a tune up, the MPG's drop just a little and the idle is not so smooth... so I take it in to NTB and the tech there (a friend) does a true pressurized, timed fuel system service... I get the car back and it runs like new! it idles smooth, mileage increases, and feels great!!! He says these engines need no tuning at all but they loose efficiency due to the fuel system getting clogged up... I'm telling you, it works for me. I usually get it with other work so I get a discount but it sells for $99 alone I believe. He says beware of shops who sell the service but do not do it properly or let the system "soak" for the required time before the finish flushing. After 70K I bet you need this badly!

I had the exact problem you described about 1 year ago. If your car has warmed up and you blip the throttle, the engine will stay on.... the MAF sensor in the intake is faulty... its fixed under warranty... if you have an aftermarket intake system, put back in a stock one and bring it in to the dealer to get fixed.
Try cleaning the throttle body. Pull the intake off if you need to convince yourself cleaning is needed. Get cleaner from Vato Zone or other local parts house. Follow the instructions so you don't hose up plastic, soft metal, or electronics (it is sometimes easier to pull the body). The dealer will do a fuel system intake clean for $200 and that will likely fix it too (mostly by cleaning the throttle body).
I don't agree that you can not touch the throttle body or butterfly but agree you should be careful:

Ooops What did I screw up now!!
Lately my car has been dying as soon as I start it, unless I push on the accelerator. So after a bunch of feedback I decided to clean my Throttle Body.
I took everything off, started the car and started to sparay the throttle body, when I decided to manually work the butterfly valve the valve clicked and the car started to idle really rough. I thought this was because I was spraying in the cleaner, anways cleaned the whole body and had the car stall a few times, but got this done. I turned the car off to reconnect the maf housing and air intake when I went to start it the car started and was idling very rough the CHECK ENGINE, VTC OFF, SLIP lights came on. When I stepped on the accelerator nothing happend, if I put the car in gear then it dies.
Does anyone know what I might have screwed up.............. For the time being I have disconnected the battery to reset the computer and will retry in an hour but I hope I didnt screw up my TB or sensor.

you touched the butterfly valve..
thats where you screwed up..
>.< you're not suppose to touch the butterfly valves on these electronic throttle bodies.. consider it done and go look for a new or used one

you probably just needed your idle readjusted (any nissan or infiniti dealer can do it) to fix the car dying upon start up. its a common problem for the VQDE but the throttle body was a big nono =(
