High Pressure Radiator Cap
"Keeps higher pressure inside of the cooling system and helps the coolant flow better. It has pressure capacity of 1.3kg/cm2, while the conventional cap has 0.9kg/cm2, this means the coolants boiling point can be raised by use of [this] radiator cap."
Ok, I give. I understand increasing the cooling system's pressure increases the coolant's boiling point and reduces the amount of coolant that overflows to the surge tank... but how does it help the coolant flow better?

Re: High Pressure Radiator Cap
Higher temp, less dense, easier flow.
But it also means you're overheating for whatever reason.
2004 G35C 6MT Black. Yes Honey, I promise no mods. I love it just the way it is.

Re: High Pressure Radiator Cap
I have this radiator cap. It looks like any other radiator cap,
except it says Nismo on it and has the rating posted as well.
See my 2003 Sedan engine pics. some of my engine bay
pics show it, but not in detail.

Stress on rad, hoses, head gasket!
If you allow the coolant temp to rise above 195-200F you enter the overheat protection mode where ignition advance is pulled out reducing performance.
The last thing you want is a higher pressure cap!

Thanks. I understand the hotter temp = less density theory. But what's the real world difference in pumping effort... seems like a long stretch to me.

Re: High Pressure Radiator Cap
Difference in density is correct. Higher temp=less dense=lower viscosity=easier flow.
But in the real world, "helps the coolant flow better" seems like a long stretch to me too.
2004 G35C 6MT Black. What Honey? I don't know where they came from. I came home and it was like that...

i agree with ya. I had the high pressure nismo cap and my g35 coupe ran hot changed it and now i got air in the system
