Everyone knows about the oil consumption engine warranty issue, but for us who burn smaller amounts and dont qualify for warranty fix, Id like to know how much oil everyone is adding between changes? I generally add about one qt every 3500 miles and i never let it get below 1/2 qt low. Yes i searched. And yes i use synthetic!

 

2005 Sedan 5AT and I burn next to nothing. Mobil 1 here.

 

'04 coupe mt. Less than 1/4 of a quart for 3100 miles or so when I change it. I used to fill with Mobil1 and I've been using german castrol 0W30 lately.

 

Zero between oil changes and I use Red Line 10W/30 and K&N oil filters.

'05 6mt 42K mi

 

i was adding 4qrts of oil between oil changes before i got the motor warrantied. i just recently got it warrantied so i dont really know what its gonna do now

 

about 1/2qt. every 3500 miles
'06 6MT
Mobil1 5W30

 

How long between changes? What do you mean warrantied?

I use about a quart every 3000k. 06 6MT

 

05 6MT here and i burn almost nothing... i use Mobil 1

 

1.5 QTS between oil changes but then again I'm FI'd

 

Less than 1/2 QT every 5 to 6K miles with my 03 sedan 5AT (65K miles).
