is it normal for the cooland level to vary slightly with ambient temps?

i noticed that the coolant reservoir was a little low the other day, so i went out and got some distilled water so I could top it off. The past 2 mornings I've checked the coolant reservoir level before I drove to work and noticed that it was slightly lower today than yesterday. But there is definitely no coolant on the ground and last time I changed the oil it was fine.

The outdoor temperature today was 10-15* cooler than the first day. Would this be enough to cause a slight change in the coolant level? Or should I go get a pressure test on the system?

i'm probably being paranoid, but I've only had the car for a month or so, so I'm trying to make sure everything is perfect before I start modding

I wouldn't be concerned unless the coolant was hot enough to be boiling...
