G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
The only reason I can think of is they buy massive quantities. Here Mobil 1 synthetic in 5W-30 is $25.47 for a 5 gallon jug. On a regular basis I've never seen it cheaper anywhere else.

It was $22 recently at my local wal Mart. I made the switch to it from Rotella for the motorcycles because it's a 5 qt container. Better price per quart and better oil analyses.

Sorta. They force distributors to often sell it for less than it is worth I hate dealing with wal Mart on the manufacturing side. No more.

No, that's part of the reason for the switch. And motorcycle oil is just marketing. It's all the same stuff, as long as it's Jaso MA approved or energy conserving additives are not there.

I know putting car oil into the bike will cause the clutch to slip. Its not supposed to contain any friction modifiers...or something like that.

[QUOTE=cleric670;7197863]I can't tell if that's sarcasm or not.

I hope it's sarcasm... No it is not sarcasm. It is fact. Self proven experience? Do you have some inner issue that you are speaking of sarcasm. Why you hope it is sarcasm? Are you broken inside that you afraid of hearing the truth? Also 10w30 is unsuitable in cold climate especcially in starting. Usually 10w30 is half synthetic not full synthetic, and its oil capabilities are minor. I would bever use 10w30 on G35. You can use it on VW passat from 1985.in cold climate 10w30 turns to gel not oil. That us proven fact.In - 15-20C. Of course if you live in California or Florida yes maybe but additives in 10w30 is not top rank.in hot engine 5w30 gets thicker than 5w40. VISCOSITY is better. Plus 5w30 gives better fuel consumption as much as possibly 1L per 100 km.
