no low end torque!

Re: no low end torque!
so adding a crawford plenum would not help my low end, i read somewhere that it works best at the 4-6k rpm range.
from all the replies i'm pretty much sol, because of the 3" exhaust upgrade! so what do restricters do, i got 2 in line with the 3" line. sorry for all the questions, i'm a MOD newbie.

Re: no low end torque!
I get off the line chirp a lot- especially in cold weather. More on some roads than others. It seems that the lower air restriction may be causing a reduction in low-end torque. But if you've only driven your car with the mods in hot weather, it may just seem slower with your mods. Have you had your car with the mods through the winter? Just a thought

Re: no low end torque!
Oh well that's part of the reason why your low end seems to be bad. You haven't fully broken the car in yet. It won't really open up until @ 3K and it gets a little better after that as well. Right now it's running tight, esecially at low end.
Additionally, the lower your air restriction on the exhaust side the more reduction you have in low end torque because of lower back-pressure. But you make up for it at higher RPM's
