What's this burning smell?

Everytime I get out of my car lately, I smell this faint burning smell. I honestly can't pinpoint the source, but I know it's there. I smelled every part of the car, and it seems like it's coming from the exhaust, but not totall sure. Sorry I can't be more specific. Can anyone throw ideas on what it might be?

I've heard of plastic bags or other debris getting caught up in the under carriage, burning on the exhaust

If you can get it up on a lift and give it a good visual inspection checking for debris or oil leaks on the exhaust system.
