Were there any 5AT sedans that made runs? I'm curoious to see a comparison of the Sedan's numbers.

Since you asked a couple of us with the +2 door upgrade dynoed at Stillen's 350z/G35 day last saturday in SoCal. I pulled a 247 with my 5AT sedan. A few coupes scratched their heads at those results! i posted a dyno chart somewhere around here....
Cheers, ted

Re: Central FL dyno day results are in!
Like Ted, I also dynoed on Stillen Day. Only did 240hp with the engine was hitting the knock sensors.
My Edge Torque Converter may be loading the engine beyond the current timing and A/F maps. Have an appointment to go see Danny and Tadashi at TechnoSquare on Wednesday.
Alagolfer (Anthony) was the third 5AT Sedan to dyno, and his car pulled 242hp.
What's the accepted drivetrain loss between the MT and AT? I've read it's somewhere around 4% to 5%.
Lets see, using the previous posts information... "If you have the wheel HP, an 18% drivetrain loss means you DIVIDE by 0.82 (which means the same as multiplying by 1.22) to get the crank HP."
So let's use a 2% difference between the MT's and the AT's...
Ted's AT Sedan - 247/.80 = 308.75hp
Anthony's AT Sedan 242/.80 = 302.5hp
DaveO's sick AT Sedan 240/.80 = 300hp

That 20 hp diff between the sedan and coupe out of the box seems to be mysteriously more like 5 hp difference. Nice numbers. Coupe versus sedan race for a big purse and some charity would be fun....not gonna happen in philly.

Re: Central FL dyno day results are in!
I finally got around to reading this whole thread...pretty awesome start to finish...Has anyone figured out what the heck is up with the obscene difference b/t the two Dynos in ?Florida and CA? And yes, Sixfive...the coupe doesn't do any more at the track really so many of us have thought what you stated for a long time now.
Again...awesome thread!!!

Well the moderators of this forum should have made this thread and the two CA dyno day threads a sticky.
I'm tempted to do another dyno day thread similar to this one. I'm now an expert with the winpep7 dynojet S/W and can get hp/tq and a/f curves all at the same time.
In fact, here's a little something for g8tor20... Neffster (red) vs G8tor20 (blue)
Notice how the lean, mean granny tranny slug-o-matic 5AT did vs. the PIAA equipped, brembo stylin', 6MT laser red power sled!!!
