Yea, I would take it in and have it checked out. I've had the slip light go on out of nowhere before but that was because I was running a bad wheel/tire offset...never have I been unable to "go" lol

What do you mean it wouldn't go? We need more information than "it wouldn't go". Did the RPM's just not go up? Would it not shift? Would the RPMs go up but the car not move?? MORE info!!!!!!!!

The Rpm wouldnt go up and the car would just sit there when i try to acclerate.. Today i was driving down the interstate and all of a sudden the slip and vdc light came on and i try to acclerate and the rpm would not respond.. But when i turn the car off and back on the lights would go away and my car would be normal untill they come back on.. And i have an auto

Have you washed your engine bay recently? You might have some sort of short in your electrical system. Sometimes I consult repairpal.com for answers, you might wanna check it out.

My car recently did the exact same thing. The dealership had to replace the throttle body.

I thought it kind of odd that the VDC and SLIP lights were on and the throttle body needed replacement, but it was done under warranty and they're the ones that know what the hell they're doing so I'm not going to question it. All I know is that my car is fixed.

+1 Exact same item on my stock sedan. Engine was still on but no response when you press gas. Engine would just continue to idle and ignore my throttle inputs. Turn it off and you're okay until it acts up again. As noted above, dealer replaced the throttle body and all is fine.
