Return Fuel System Guys... IN HERE! Pics FIXED!!!
Say Fellas, got an issue...
I made a thread a few weeks ago about a raw fuel leak I have- a bad one at that (will make a puddle about 3ft in diameter in about 1 minute of run time).
The leak only happens during the winter months, and will go away after 5 min of driving. I found a goofy little connection in the return line that runs over the top of the tranny (comes out of bottom of fuel pressure regulator as a braided line, runs over tranny [this is where the connectors are] and transitions into a rubber line), so I figure once the tranny gets hot the aluminum connections swell just enough to seal the leak.
I took the entire section out this weekend, loosened it all, inspected it, and thought I found where it has been leaking. Put some thread lock on the parts that had thread lock on them already and then put some teflon tape on the connections that had nothing (including the suspected leaker).
Put it all back together, tightened the end going into the regulator and the one that hooks to the rubber line, started her up...
****ER STILL LEAKS!
This is the SGP Racing return system, and if you've read anything over at My350Z... you pretty much can't get intouch with them (no one answers, voicemail is full, and yet to respond to an e-mail I sent last night- but I'm not holding my breath).
My questions are:
How do I tell what the inside diameter of these hoses are (they don't have any numbers on them).
Can I replace this goofy looking setup with different parts... as long as the inside diameter is the same?
Thanks!
(blue connections on right end are where the leak is)

This is what I either need to replace, or completely redo...

I'm not at work and still can't see the pics???
Sounds like the line needs cut an inch back and a new adapter installed. I had a problem like that with mine back when I had a stage 1 kit. You can try to tighten it but you may need a new one.

where it is leaking on that connector? at the threads of the connection or where the hose was crimped to the AN fitting?
either way www.anplumbing.com is good source. i ordered a lot from them in the past

Leak is happening at the 10.5'' mark where you can see the teflon tape (not tightened down yet).
So, looking at the last pic working your way from bottom to top...
The red peice screws to blue peice
Blue peice screws to other blue peice at 10.5 (where leak is)
Then the blue peice up top goes into the rubber hose
Have NO idea why they did it like this... the connection sits right intop of the tranny.. but I don't see why you still couldnt use a braided line and then use 1 connector between the metal and rubber lines to hook them together?

So this is the feed from the metal line to the regulator? Or is the return? Either way first thing an fittings are not ment to have teflon tape this will inface have a higher chance for them to leak. If this is the return line I suggest buying some line and making it one piece back to the tank.

The end not pictured screws into the bottom of the regulator; then runs above the tranny and then along the passanger side of the car, "tucked" under in a groove (along with 5 other lines)- I'm told this is the return line. It is not the line that Y-splits and goes into each fuel rail.
How do I tell the inside diameter of these, even if I wanted to get new braided line? There are no markings on them?

FIXED! FINALLY!
Got to a shop, showed them the old line, they already had a new one that would work. Brought it home, reused one of the blue peices... all it did was get you from a female to a male so you could connect to a another female line, it never leaked.
Started her up and good to go. Hardest part was actually finding the leak.
Got rid of the 45* bend blue peice... they said it was probably overtightened- whoever installed it *cough SGP cough* and thats why it was leaking.
